In your first year, you’ll have the chance to undertake various qualifications, including a Basic Electrical Course, Certificate III in Business, First Aid Certification, and a Test & Tag Qualification. As you continue with us, additional opportunities for formal qualifications, such as an Advanced Diploma in Leadership & Management or Electrical Engineering will be available as well as specialist courses in an agreed electrical discipline.

 

For the successful candidate, there is the option to take on all of the responsibilities listed below from commencement, or to focus primarily on the warehousing tasks with a clear plan to progress into sales and administrative duties over the next 6 months.

 

Your New Role as a Hire Controller

As a Hire Controller, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer support and service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and nurturing client relationships, both new and existing, by assisting with quotes, orders, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinating and managing freight deliveries and collections, both through our staff and external suppliers.
  • Ensuring efficient stock management, including equipment check-in/out, functional testing, maintenance coordination, and stocktaking.
  • Thriving in our fun and positive work environment every single day.

About You

We are seeking proactive and energetic individuals with a can-do attitude. To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
  • Eagerness to conduct sales activities, both with new and existing customers.
  • Flexibility to travel interstate approximately four times per year.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously, manage your time, and prioritise demands in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Capability to proactively build relationships with key customers/clients, peers, and colleagues.
  • A genuine interest and willingness to learn about electrical test and measurement equipment.
  • Exceptional eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical fitness to handle manual handling duties.
  • Australian driver’s license.
  • The right to live and work in the location of this job opportunity.
