Megger Idax 350

The Megger Idax 350 is a diagnostic instrument using Dielectric Frequency Response (DFR) technology, also known as Frequency Domain Spectroscopy (FDS). DFR measures capacitance and losses (tan delta/power factor) across various frequencies, helping assess insulation health by analysing geometry, moisture, oil conductivity, and temperature. Megger has adapted this lab-based method for field use and developed Individual Temperature Correction (ITC) to improve accuracy. IDAX is user-friendly, featuring an automated test flow and results displayed via an intuitive ‘traffic light’ system. It is recognised in international standards like IEEE and Cigre.
